16th May and 63 players and friends of Oatlands FC gathered at the Anchor Hotel in Shepperton for OFCs first End Of Season Awards Dinner. Here's what happened
The Beginning

GOLDEN BOOT

Olly Downing
It was all Black Tie and Evening Dresses at the Anchor Hotel as guests arrived at what was agreed by all to be one of the best evenings on record. Right here we try to review the evening...or at least what we remember of it.
The Awards

PLAYERS PLAYER

Tim Furnival

Something for everybody. All players received a specially designed Season 2002-2003 colour (pictured top left) and then the awards started in earnest. Who evers idea to give Phil a mic is anybody's guess but with a Roy Chubby Brown wit, he presented the players awards over dinner. See who won what on this page.

After Dinner

MANAGERS PLAYER

Matt Green

What didn't happen. The Casino was a great success with the winner receiving a bottle of bubbly only to have it dropped over the dance floor. Marsh spun the wheels of steel as Paul Adams danced happily with no trousers. Dude, what happened there! Mini Malc got drunk, smoked a funny cigarette and was thoroughly sick...must run in the family, Tim Fisher lost his teeth and was found in the carpark and Jarv ordered a Taxi and while playing it cool Trigger, went over sideways only to carry on talking while on his side!!!

Early Hours

CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR

Paul Watson

Admittedly this is where things start going a little grey. Squaddies room featured, Tim Cowling just argues (this has been deleted). The best to be though is Paul Marsh wondering the corridors, knocking on rooms trying to get a place to sleep. After hassling the Casino staffs room, they promptly call security and he's escorted out of the Hotel.

Financial Facts

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER

Paul Adams

So, what did you get for your £35. Well, does anybody actually remember buying themselves a drink?!? Need I say more considering the state we managed to get ourselves in. What we had the next day, apart from stinking hang overs was a receipt from the Hotel over over £1100. Well, Steve Beater did. I think we owe him a Stella or two.

What Next

MOST INJURED PLAYER

Martin Cooke

Apart from a lot of Football, we are looking to organise more social events and learning from our mistakes, the few that we have made, these are going to be bigger and better than previous. Blue Hawaii at Christmas for the boys only, veterans of which will be clambering for tickets now, Ibiza in the summer which I know will be rife with casualties through to next years EOS party. Myself and Steve have some plans and believe they are good!! Oh, and did we mention Prague for New Years Eve.....no Joke.

Thanks from OFC

SUPER SUB

Olly Fischer

Thanks to Steve for Everything. Paul Adams for sorting the Venue and the rooms. Of course myself for all the designs, some fancy ideas and helping out. Tim Fisher & Tim Cowling for a brutal sound system and Paul Marsh for using it as he only knows best. Phil Barr of course for doing all the presentations and some other cool stuff. All the committee, all the players and of course those who came with out which, it would have been kinda poor....cheers guys.
