Andy Bayne |
Andy Bayne or Baynezy as he is best known at the club joined Oatlands in January 2008 and since that time he has certainly established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet each week. Baynezy is certainly a bit of a “character” on the pitch and when he’s having a good game he seems to be one of those players who can lift the rest of the team with him. Baynezy’s strengths are his pace and genuine ability to beat players, he’s also one of those players that loves to wind the opposition up and is a genuine crowd pleaser for those on the side. Off the pitch Baynezy has fitted in superbly and his pre-match enthusiasm always serves to get the rest of the team up for the game.

us a bit about yourself.... |

I am 23, Born and bred in Hinchley Wood aka the ghetto, went to both primary and secondary schools there, then on to Esher College where I somehow managed to get A levels. Did go to Southampton Uni but only lasted three months due to going out far too much and constantly getting pissed, love going to see Chelsea especially the away games. |

Tell us about the journey that resulted in you joining OFC? |
You’ll have to blame Ted Smith for me turning up at the mighty Oatlands. After already following him to Oxshott Royals and then leaving after one session coz they were shit - cheers Ted, I saw him out in Oceana and subsequently Ted, Tom BL and myself were having a pissed conversation about football and he invited us down to training which happened to be the following day (don’t think he ever thought that I would of made it considering the state of me the night before). However I came down lasted about 15 minutes of training session and was nearly sick, and the rest as they say is history. |

Assuming you like playing for OFC, what in your opinion is the best aspect of the club? |
As you can see I've played for quite a few clubs, has to be the people didn’t take long at all to fit in and everyone made an effort, just a good bunch of lads really..

Greatest moment in an OFC shirt? |

Has to be my first half a session at Oatlands. Turned up in January 2008 with the team performing poorly, after that won nearly every game apart from one and went to the cup final -the first in the clubs history, as I always remind people hahah. |
