Anthony Cox

Anthony Cox or 2-Gun as he is better known by virtually everyone is usually found down the right hand side of the OFC team. 2-Gun is arguably one of the teams most naturally gifted players, who has an ability to do all the simple things extremely well. His ability with the ball at his feet and his ability to win the ball make him a versatile player who can play either in midfield or in defence. 2-Gun may be a reserved individual off the pitch but pick an argument with him and you will inevitably lose. If you want to find 2-Gun, try looking in Ashford High Street where you will find him gazing out of the Gregory Brown office window.

Tell us a bit about yourself Anthony

Not a lot to say really, errr….. I currently work in Ashford as an Estate Agent umm… for the last few weeks I have really cut down on smoking, but not ready yet to become a non smoker entirely, mainly because it's still fvckin cool and you know it! Can't think of anything else, all rather boring.

One fascinating fact that everyone needs to know?

Another tough question…….I can tell you a fascinating fact about me, well it's not really fascinating but I once abseiled down a building in Woking called 'Dukes Court' (just around the corner from the Weatherspoons pub) raising over £100 for the RNIB - Royal National Institute of the Blind.

Your most memorable moment in an Oatlands shirt?

I would have to say last seasons famous victory over Woking Phoenix, we were 3-0 down at half time but came back in the second half and completely out played them, I scored our first goal as well, setting us on our way to that superb 4-3 triumph - get in !!

How did you get the name "2-Gun"?

Well the full name is '2Gun Tony' and what with my name being Anthony it fits quite well don't you think?
People first started calling me it way back when I was at school.

What's your biggest passion in life?

FOOTBALL, It's a religion!!!

How do you motivate yourself before a game?

Not sure really, love every Saturday that I'm not working, just want to play.
But for instance the last game I played was against Shalford and I really wasn't up for it, felt a little hung over and just didn't want to play. Ended up walking off the field after the final whistle and thinking that was probably the best game I've played this season - fvckin love it !!

Who is your footballing idol?

I have recently purchased a Maradona DVD (which I highly recommend to any football fan) and after watching that I would definitely say him - the guy was a bloody wizard on the football pitch, a true genius. Also have a lot of time for the great man himself Sir Alex Ferguson.

If we went back to Chateaux 2-Gun and opened the CD player what would we find?

Can honestly say I don't really listen to music at home, more of a radio man anyway.

Your ideal woman (that is not Amiee)?

I can only interpret this question as ' which famous celebrity female would I most like to have a go on?' and it would have to be either Kelly Brooke or Jennifer Lopez, although I've also seen this months bird on the FHM calendar, Frankee I think her name is, she would definitely get it. Reckon I could give her the best 30 seconds she'll ever experience. Dirty bitch!
