It all started back in April 2002 when Paul W and Steve G along with a few others sat down in the Flintgate over a beer and discussed the complete boredom that is Oatlands Village at the weekends.
We all seemed to enjoy sitting in the pub watching footie and the point was made that maybe we should get together and actually play! Well after a couple of emails and get together we started training in Oatlands Park with absolutely no vision of the future whatsoever, rather turn up and see what numbers we get and go from there.
Well, the first meeting we had 8 people turn up at Oatlands Park and now we regularly get 15 to 20 players at our floodlit training facilities at Old Cranleighans each Thursday. Our first Season was a very steep learning curve and as predicted we were relegated to Div. I, however we survived in Div I for 3 seasons and although relegated to Div II in 2005/6 we have recovered to post our best points tally of 37 in 2006/7. OFC boasts a very cosmopolitan Team with players from as far a-field as Iberia, Hungary, France and the USA! Outside of the 90 mins on a Saturday afternoon OFC pride themselves on a real commitment to the community (and a commitment to having as much fun as possible!) with regular appearances at the Oatlands Village Fayre and lots of village social events throughout the year.

Season 2006/7 was our 5th Anniversary Year and we had one of our most sucessfull seasons so there is real anticipation coming into Season 2007/8 that OFC can get promotion. The Chairman guarantees funds and support are always available, so things can only get bigger and better. - come along, check us out and join the best Team there is in the area...
