Oatlands FC was founded in the Spring of 2002 by Steve Gilliver and Paul Watson. Our founding philosophy was to perfrom well and provide a community spirit which we still emulate today. From small beginnings of 8 people training in Oatlands Park in June 2002 we have now grown to a regular squad of 30. We joined the Guildford and Woking Alliance Football League and our first season was in the Permiership. 'In at the Deep End' would be an understatement but we were confident after our 2nd place at the Elms Competition in Wembley prior to the season start. Although as the picture below shows we suffered a serious injury to our Club Captain (he's in the Ambulance!) |
Unfortunately we got relegated in the first year but we didn't finish last and this led to a couple of reasonable seasons in Division I. We have found a level in Division II where in Season 07/08 we were finalists in the League Cup and for the 08/09 Season we are determined to challenge for promotion. |

Socially, Oatlands FC excel both in terms of community events and players only events. We have a superb balance between getting results on the pitch and having fun off the pitch. |

| So, what do we get up to off the pitch? |
In 2003 we capped off our first season with a trip to Ibiza. We all look a bit younger in the picture but it was a legendary trip and an experience that will not be bettered. We will be looking to do more Tours in the summertime, hopefully in 2009.

| The most important night of the year is the End of Season Dinner |
This is the night where we get to award the trophies to those that have excelled during the season but more importantly it is a chance for the Club to lay on a superb night for all involved in the Club from Players to Supporters to Partners and Friends. |

The most legendary night of all though is the visit to Blue Hawaii in December as our 'Guys Only' Christmas dinner. I say 'Dinner' but no-one actually eats anything (despite paying for it!). We always spend a fortune which I guess is why we get away with practically anything! |
